Feeling Rosy with Neal’s Yard Skincare

Feeling Rosy with Neal’s Yard Skincare

I have always wanted to try Neal’s Yard products (as I love anything that uses natural ingredients) I just never got around to actually trying any of them. That was until my skin began to feel a bit, bleurgh. Although I was cleansing, toning, and moisturising morning and night, I wasn’t happy with the quality of my skin.

It was time to try something different, and the perfect opportunity to finally get my hands on these beautiful blue bottles. If you’ve never visited a Neal’s Yard store before, it smells like you are walking into a spa and there’s even herbal tea that you can help yourself to as you have a little browse. Oh, and you will want to buy everything. It’s a good job that it is relatively pricey because that was the only thing stopping me.

There are a range of different skincare collections to choose from, such as Nourishing Orange Flower, Rejuvenating Frankincense, Purifying Palmarosa or Rehydrating Rose. As my skin is more dry than it is oily, I decided on the Rehydrating Rose Collection which is perfect for normal to sensitive skin. Plus, I’ve always loved rose scented skincare products, which I know can be a turn-off for some people, but I promise you, the scent isn’t overpowering and doesn’t leave you smelling like your Grandmother.

The range is made with 95% organically derived natural ingredients and they are vegan friendly, as are all of Neal’s Yard products. The bottles are recyclable but they can also be reused for something else, such as a small vase. They are too pretty to just throw away.

The first thing I do in the morning, and after having removed all of my makeup at night, is to give my face a gentle wash with this divine rose infused facial wash. On damp skin, I massage one pump of the facial wash into my skin until it begins to lather up slightly, and then I rinse it off with cool water and gently pat dry. The smell is heavenly and so refreshing and calming on the skin, I just absolutely love it. Although it doesn’t remove makeup, because it’s not technically a cleanser, your skin definitely still feels like it has been thoroughly cleaned, with any impurities removed.

This is by far, the best toner I have used. I’ll admit, I haven’t used many and most were high street brands but I really do love this toner. Firstly, it comes in quite a large bottle, so it lasts a long time. Also, you really don’t need to use a lot. A small dab on a cotton pad is all that is needed each time you use it. Secondly, it does the job. My skin feels refreshed and squeaky clean after using it, without drying my skin out too much. If you prefer to use a toner that has a pump and spray cap, you can request one for an extra pound in store.

To finish off my skincare regime, I use the Rose Daily Moisturiser and my skin has NEVER felt softer. Thanks to the gentle facial wash and toner, the moisturiser glides across the skin and soaks in straight away, and you only need a pea-sized amount. Again, it smells divine and the rose extracts are very soothing on the skin, but what I love most about it is how light it feels once it has been applied. It does not feel thick and sticky on my face, but silky smooth and rehydrating. Honestly, I can’t stop touching my cheeks afterwards because I’m always amazed at how lovely they feel. It makes putting makeup on a lot easier as it feels like I’m wearing a primer when I’m not. I really can’t recommend it enough.

Have you tried any Neal’s Yard products before? If so, I would love to know.

Love Georgie ♥
